Christmas at Great Grandma's

On Sunday, we drove up to see my Grandma and Aunt and Uncle in Fayetteville. Grandma cooked a great fried chicken Sunday lunch. She even bought little Addi a walker for her house when we come and visit. Aunt Beth and Uncle Scott suprised us with gifts for Addison. My Uncle Scott being the joker that he is, decided to take it upon himself and get Addi some "ham" for christmas. And unknowinly the wonderful people at the Gerber manufacturing have developed a ham flavored baby food. I find this mildly funny because first of all I don't eat ham and second of all.....he has already snuck a little ham to by baby way back on thanksgiving. So one of her early christmas presents was the nice delicious jar of stage 2 ham. Oh boy Oh boy....can't wait to gag myself try to get this into her mouth. I think I will just save it until she goes to their house. Among the other goodies the little one stole away with was some adorable outfits and a Curious George monkey and story book that went with him. Addison's favorite toy though....was the tugboat. This is a bathtime fun tugboat toy. It comes with several toys insde him and then the tugboat himself. We had a blast as soon as we got home. Anyone that knows our daughter knows she loves her bathtime. Ok well, the clip I thought I was going to put on here is actually on my phone so I will just put a different clip on. Thanks Aunt Beth and Uncle Scott. We love you both very much and had a great day!
Addison's audition for American Idol

Oh my goodness where do I even begin. I really need to get better at this blogging thing. I hold all my stories in and then blog them all at one time ...does this make me a binge blogger? Well the weekend before Christmas, umm the date oh yeah Dec. 19th, I took off work to spend time with Daniel and finish up a bit of Christmas shopping. Mission accomplished! After our last rounds we went to partake in what I would like to say will be a tradition but chances are probably not. We went to Muskogee to see the Garden of Lights and look all the "pretty" lights with our 5 month old. It was quite suprising how taken she became with all the lights and she demanded to look out the window. Bare in mind it is freezing cold outside and the window is down and this child did not care! She sang to the lights and talked to the lights and cooed at the lights the whole time. She met no stranger lights on the trip. She had a great time. Being a mother I was worried to death that she would come down with something from being in the cold air for an extended period of time, so far so good on that dilemma. Here is a little clip, it was dark outside and we didn't turn on the lights in the car so it is kind of hard to see her, but you can HEAR her!! She is hilarious.

So Excited

I can not even begin to describe and explain how excited I am for Christmas this year. It is the first time that the Joy of Christmas has sunk in and it truly is about my family, and for the first time I have a little family of my own to celebrate with. This will be as memorable to me as the day she was born, which by the way still feels like yesterday. Time just goes by so quickly, it stuns me everytime I see her pictures from the hospital. And the time is only going to go more quickly, I just wish I could slow time down so that I could take it all in, how special she is, how blessed I am, and how amazing the whole experience is. I did not get to bring the little one home tonight, she had a sleep over at her Granny's due to bad weather and me having to be to work earlier than usual. I find myself, pausing with tears in my eyes because I miss her so much and I hate being away from her for one second. It just kills me that I am missing pieces of her precious life. She is the most amazing accomplishment in my life, I did not know it but she was my wish come true, my blessing in disguise, my own personal miracle. I am so excited for Christmas this year for I already have my perfect present, my own family. She is going to have the greatest first Christmas anyone can ever imagine. She is so dearly loved by all in her life.

My Little Star

This is a day in the life. We were home just taking it easy after a long weekend, watching t.v. and letting Addison play in her exersaucer. She loves her exersaucer, however, when she claims she is done she means it. It can become too much for the little one I guess, and then the whole world crumbles right along with her patience for putting up with toy. But when it is good and all is going well this is my daughter....laughing, smiling, giggling and SHOWING OFF!! Oh my. I can't even begin to imagine the drama filled story telling we have in store for us. In this little clip she is very excited and telling her daddy and I all about her new found joys of life. I love her so. She consistently cracks me up. Thank God for this bright little star in our lives. She is one heck of a mess and we wouldn't have it any other way!
