Birthday...3months later

Okay I will admit, I have been slacking on this blog thing. There have been so many occasions that I have needed to blog and had good intentions but then something goes a rye and it just doesn't happen. Has anyone else tried blogging with a toddler in the house?....IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!! I am going to post pictures from the birthday party we had in July...lol! It was so much fun we had a wonderful turn out. My aunt beth and uncle scott came as well as my sister and neice from Conway. Daniel's Aunt Sissy was there with Steffy and Sam and we had a great time. I had prepared a DVD for everyone to watch of Addison's first year growing up, also another device to whip out during her wedding and embarrass the daylights out of her. The DVD was a lot of my heart and soul and my favorite moments of her growing up. I can't believe the time went so quickly. Somehow someway we all made it to the first year alive and in one piece. I was pretty excited. The birthday party them was PINK ZEBRA!! How funky is that...so funky that they don't even make napkins to match.....and I think that is bologna! We had an amazing cake from Sweet Boutique, a place in cedarville and we also had cookies. Daniel's Dad (Benny) made some amazing grilled veggies and hamburgers and hotdogs. We had so much food we were forcing everyone to take it home with them for later. Addison got to eat her own birthday cake, we stripped her down and let her dig in! The cake was pink with her name written in white icing on the edge and I put a tiara on the top with her candle. Too cute. She got tons of great toys. Her favorite currently is a singing puppy, her windchimes, and of course her clothes and her new blanket. Daniel and I made her gifts, we both took our favorite picture and put them in frames with the words to our favorites lullably songs. We hope that one day she will appreciate our efforts! Well I have lots more blogging occassions to get busy on so here are the pics from the FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTEEEE!

Camping trip- Bonham

There is so much to get caught up on. I haven't blogged for almost 2 months and in that time we have taken two camping trips and had a first birthday party. Not to mention all the minor growing details. It has been a blast the last couple months. Addison is just petal to the metal and going going gone!! She has already tried to start running. Lord help us, that is my girl though, and I couldn't be a prouder mommy. These are some pictures from our camping trip to Bonham. It was a family reunion of sorts. While we were there Addi got to feed the ducks which she proceeded to cry over because they ate her cracker. Addison also got to play with a few of the other kiddos there. This proved to be somewhat hysterical. She was absolutely fascinated with Jackson. She would just stare at him and wait for him to notice her. She also "tried" to play with a baby the same age as her. This did not go in her favor. She tried so hard to love and kiss on this baby but baby Amelia just was not having it. So Addi compromised and played with her Granny's lights. It was an eventful yet long weekend. We all had a blast but were ready to get in the car and head home.

Bless this Mess we call life!

Well.....it is the end of the week and the middle of the month. So at least I am blogging now and not at the end of the month in a binge blog. This is the 11th month and Addi has had a bunch of new accomplishments these last couple of weeks. We officially have 3...yes 3 teeth in and 2 more on the way. She can walk probably 15 or 20 steps in a row now. And she can say 'dada, mama, bath, and dog'. She is coming on along when it comes to food. I swear the child never eats. Her current favorite thing to eat is noodles and gerber breakfast bars. Her favorite things right now are: water (of course) and the new book that gets to go in the water with an octopus on it, dancing when her toys play a song, and being outside in the yard playing either in a pool or in the grass. She currently still doesn't listen to "no" and throws her head back and kicks her feet when she doesn't get her way. She also is loving...and I mean loving to climb everything she can get her knee and foot on. Addi is not much of a smiler and is quite moody like her Daddy. She is the spitting image of her father and she has the same exact pondering face as her dad. It is very scary! I wish a lot of days that she looked like me, even just a little but she doesn't. I get tired of hearing it...but she is great just the same and if she ever gets hair just maybe...maybe she will look a little less like Daniel. We will see. We get to go for a check up next month and I am excited to see how she has grown. She is so tall to me... she looks and is as tall as some 2 year olds, it cracks us all up. Here are a few recent shots and some videos of our little stinker!

First Word

So far this week has been an exhausting week. But I am trying to hold all my bearings together long enough to make it to the weekend. Normal night here. I picked up the baby after work and then headed to the house for some din-din and to see daddy. I prepared while he loved on her before he left for work. We ate, she played and we got a bath. Got out and diapered and to her bedroom we went. I lotioned her down and her new favorite thing is to pile up in her bouncy seat and make it bang the wall by bouncing in it. It comes with a lamb (mia at the moment) a pink star and a pink moon. She was chewing on the moon and got out of the chair and started walking around. Baylor was laying at the foot of the opening to the door and Addison stuck her moon out and walked toward Baylor and said "DOG". It was the sweetest thing. My jaw hit the floor. And I was so excited because I WAS HERE!! I heard it and saw it. I am a working mom and I heard her say DOG. I am so blessed. She is so kind and sweet and thoughtful at this age. She busted it out like she knew exactly what she was doing and saying. So confident!!! My little girl at 11months and 1 day said DOG. I am so excited.

CONGRATS PRETTY GIRL!!---mommy loves you oxox

Beavers Bend 09

Addison got to go on her first official camping trip. We left on Sunday May 10th (Mother's Day) and headed to Broken Bow, OK. The whole family was in need of a little RandR. Sunday after we arrived we got settled into into our cabin and then went to help Benny and Kathy set up their trailer. It had started raining on the way down and had continued to rain the rest of the day into the Monday and Tuesday and well part of Wednesday. It FINALLY cleared up just a few hours before we had to leave and come back home on Wednesday. It was long enough for Daniel and I to take the paddle boat out on the river and do a little sight seeing. And that we did. We saw a snake laying in a tree sunning himself and we also got to see all the new development around the area and Daniel made me get out of the paddle boat and stand in the water while he took a picture and I froze what was left of my bootie off. We paddle across the river and saw a gorgeous water fall and was able to take some pretty decent shots of it. It was no Hana, HI but I will take whatever vacation I can get! Since it rained nearly the whole time we were there we weren't able to do much with the baby so she got a little cabin fever and we went to the nature center and the museum to check things out. We bought her a souvenir shirt and took a few pictures. I do have to say that even though it rained the whole time it was just nice to BE. Be with Addison, Be with Daniel, Be with Benny and Kathy, and Be away from work and the house. We had a great time, we are planning on going back soon, hopefully it will all work out so that we can. I am already looking forward to it.

p.s. Thanks Kathy and Benny for the invite--- we had a great time! We love you and appreciate all the things you do for us and the Baby! oxox C&D

On our way...pit stop for a bottle.

Quirky Things

I thought I might tell my daughter about a few of the things that I probably won't remember in a few weeks much less in a few decades when she is having children.

* You always rub your eyes when you are tired
* You have just learned to point at me and the things you want
* You hold out your hand because you want some one to kiss it ( your Poppy taught you that)

* You roll over and over and over like an alligator when you are tired.

* You are my personal Linus--you LOVE your blankie. You bury your head into when ever someone gives it to you. You drag it around with you if you can.

* You are still allergic to strawberries.

*You love to people watch especially little kids, you find them amusing.

* You can throw a hellacious temper tantrum.

*When you want to you give kisses and when you don't you ignore the person.

* Your favorite foods are squash, sweetpotatoes, Pear Blueberry Oat, and real green beans, and pasta off my plate. Oh----and of course ice cream.

* You still love your baths and look forward to them twice a day, it refreshes you and gives you a new start, or it settles you down for the night.

* You don't really have a favorite toy, you like your glow worm on when you go to bed, you still listen to your sleep sheep, and you love your baby.

** My most precious treasure is watching you when the wind blows. You have the most inocent look on your face and when you are in the car seat and the window is open you try to catch the air.

* Giggles are few and far between, so when we get a giggle we hold onto it!

* You patty cake when you get excited about something.

*When in public you always get compliments on your eyes.

* My favorite thing about you is your smell, your cute faces you make, getting to rock you, and when you lay your head on my shoulder.

Addison.....Time goes by too quickly, I cherish every waking moment and breathe with you. You are the most important thing in my life and my greatest accomplishment. You are the light of my life and you put things in prospective in a matter of moments. You are the earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars to me. I know that before I know it you are going to be all grown up and I will be left with nothing but memories and pictures. I love you with all my heart and soul baby girl. oxox--mommy.
