Granny, Gramps, and G.G.

Addi has been spending some time at both grandparents house's. Granny aka Daniel's mom, Gramps aka Daniel's dad, and G.G. aka Granny Coleman love their "Addi" time. When they miss a day because of appointments or other stuff they sure do get pathetic. Her Granny has started a new game where she pushes Addi up the driveway in the walker and then Addison RUNS down the driveway. I actually got the opprotunity to catch this on video....too adorable. She throws her hands up in the air and runs real fast down the driveway. It is precious. I am also stealing some of Granny's pictures that she has taken of Addison to put on the blog. You can tell she gets totally worn out, the grandparents play with her all day! Daniel and I are so blessed, we have really lucked out with Grandparents for Addi. Here are some pictures from Daniel's parents house.

Putting up a Fight

Well I will tell you this much, my daughter may look like Daniel but she definetly has my passion and stubborness. This child can fight a long fight. We have started her sleeping in her crib in her room as much as i hated it, but it was past time. And let me tell you, "crying it out" well it sucks!! For BOTH of us. She is so freaking stubborn and determined not to fall asleep. I pray that this will be over soon and she will be able to bed down without such a long drawn out fuss. In the meantime here are some picks of the little one since I haven't put up anything in a while. By the way this past weekend was our first busted lip. She sent me into panic mode with the blood on her lip. She is fine though it just broke the skin on her actual lip not on her gums. THANK GOODNESS. Bless her heart she had a fat lip on Sunday due to the incident.

Behind on February

Last month was one heck of a month. I am so thankful it is over and we are MOVING ON! The month started off good, I had an interview with a company for a marketing position. I did not get the job, but I got a little interview experience under my belt and I am all for that. Next up was Dad's birthday (Feb 8th) it was good. Addi and I went to go see him for his birthday and took him his beloved cheesecake. He seems to enjoy about the one and only dessert I can actually make. I have made him cheesecake for special occassions for a couple of years now and I can always bank on him being completely content with his edible gift. From the 8th on it was downhill! Addi, bless her heart, got sick. It was our first time as parents dealing with a "sickly" child and I will be the first to admit....I suck at it! This certainly was not my most shining moment as a mother or as a significant other. As you will all know having drama, especially with children, does not bring out the best in people sometimes. Addi got a, what I like to call a "blemish" in her "flower" area and long story short, the blemish turned into an disasterous unsightly swollen area that needed to be drained. She ran almost 103 fever for a couple days and she was put in the hospital for 2 days.

Hospitalization

We arrived at the hospital at about 4o'clock Wed the 11th and was bracing ourselves for the surgery our little girl was about to have in a few hours. My heart has never fallen as hard as when she was sick and didn't feel well. She did not have any strength. The only thing she had been eating for 2 days up to that point was a few bottles of pedialite. We were admitted and the baby had surgery at about 7pm. The most traumatizing moment of my life up to this point are them having to start an IV on Addison. She cried so much that she just wore herself out completely. The surgery ws quick 15 or 20 minutes top and then we were headed back to our room with our sedated baby. That night was a little rough because she was still in pain and the nurses had to come in about every 30minutes to check her vital signs. Thursday brought a bit of a better outlook because she began to eat and her fever began to decrease. However the maintenance on the severed site was not so fun! She was receiving several rounds of antibiotics and by the end of the day I was so exhausted with it ALL! Everytime she peed we were on diaper duty because it would burn her and anytime she did a little poo she had to take a soak. Seriously people can you count how many times a day a baby pees or poos even a little. EXHAUSTING!! The night turned into and even longer night due to the fact that her IV infiltrated and they had to remove it before they had finished giving her all her antibiotic. Friday morning at 1230am they came to get her to start another IV. Daniel took her this time, after 20 minutes she was not back yet and I began pacing the hallways looking for them. One of the nurses showed me the way. Turned out....Addi is not such an easy stick and after the 4th try they decided to call the on call doctor because they couldn't get her started and she was so tired that she passed out from crying so much. We were allowed to return to our room and they were to try again after doctor rounds. Turned out in our favor she was doing well enough they discharged us and we were home by 1230 that afternoon. THANK GOD. I do have to say if God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. My heart goes out to any mother or father that has a sickly baby that has to go through pain. I don't understand but it is what it is and I don't dwell on it, I was just thankful that we got to take her home.

Rest of the month

Since then our little one has bounced back harder and more playful then when the month first started. Addi had just learned to crawl on the 4th of the month and then she got sick and now....oh my!! We can't even keep up. She is pulling up all by herself and crawling around, crawling up steps and into other rooms....she is a girl on a mission and on the move. I cherish her being so healthy. I am so thankful!!

V-Day

Valentines Day was ALMOST spent in the hospital but thankfully we got released the day before. I would like to say Daniel totally rocked this year for v-day and I totally sucked at it. He got me a gorgeous pair of diamond earrings that I haven't taken out since I got them. I L-O-V-E them to pieces. So thank you "Hunnie" for my beautiful earrings. Now if we can just get the diamonds from my ears to my finger....no pressure. LOVE YOU

I would post pictures for all of you, but due to my wonderful computer skills I managed to delete instead of UPLOAD all my most recent photos on my camera. Believe me I have already shed a few tears over it. But it is just one month of pictures. Grant you....one month I will never get back and now have NO documentation of....but nonetheless only one month. So i promise to post pictures and videos coming up soon. Sorry for the lack of intelligence.

Thank You MOM!

I just have to say, Thank You to my mommy. I don't honesly know what I would do without her this week. Daniel and I have had a heck of a time with the baby at night. She isn't sick or anything she is just a pill to sleep with. She tosses and turns most of the night and then she is up for a diaper change and a bottle and then she is rolling over on to her tummy and waking up again and my gosh it is enough to make a mother and father go insane. So my three nights in a row have come to an end with my mom taking her for the night so this mommy can get some much needed rest. SO I HEART YOU MOM!! Thanks for letting me get some rest. I am taking myself straight to bed as soon as I finish this blog. Today was Daniel and my 3.5 year anniversary. Yes....I still count the halves. You take what you can get in this relationship. I gave him a handmade card. Extremely cutesy. So far I have not gotten a card. LOL. Don't worry I don't plan on one. He isn't much into them, I claimed my early anniversary present yesterday. He made dinner. I was so happy for it. It was very tasty. Pasta and chicken made with love. I felt taken care of, so even though it was a day early, I didn't much care. It was the thought that counted. Okay, well me and my sleepy self are turning in for the night. As soon as I call my daughter and tell her to sleep tight. LOL.Happy Anniversary Daniel. I love you baby. Thanks again mom. I love you too. Sweetdreams baby girl....I miss you big bunches. I have your sleep sheep and blankie waiting on me in the bed. Good night and sweet dreams to all!

Updating for January

Jeep-Jeep
Well as usual I am going to start my nightly binge blogging. It has been a while since I have posted anything I will try to get caught up. Addi got a new Jeep walker for her "belated" christmas gift from her daddy and I, she loves it! It is hilarious to watch her in it. She goes backwards and forwards and drives it for real. She likes to find the t.v. and then talk to the people on the screen. Actual it is more like scream at the people on the screen. She is becoming quite a character as she is growing on along. She has recently decided that she likes to crawl but only on the bed and couch not on the floor like normal children. Go figure. The other day I set her in her crib to play while I hung up her laundry and put it in the closet and to my amazement when I turned around there she was standing up holding on to the bed rail. After my near heart attack, I went over and gave her good praise for a job well done. Boy do I have my hands full! I need to look into getting those eyes placed in the back on my head. Hopefully it isn't too expensive. She is just growing on along. We went for our 6 month check up earlier this month and she is a healthy girl. She was 17.6lbs and 26.5 inches long. Her wardrobe is scattered, it is funny to me because even though she is 6 months old she can still get into her 3-6month onsies but she needs 12month jeans for them to be long enough.

Here is the jeep driving "addison style."

Other recent updates:

Highchair Days
She is now sitting in her highchair to chow down at meals and she is one heck of a show girl. The other day we were giggling while she was eating and she would take a bite and I would laugh and then she would laugh and then I would laugh and she would laugh and then she would take another bite. This went on and on, almost the entire time she was eating. It was a good moment. She has also started making bigger messes when she eats and so obviously Baylor is stuck like a magnet to her highchair. Peas are not her fav but in order to get a well balanced pureed diet we include them. Well she figured out that she could put her hand over the side of her highchair and when it comes back it is clean. A babies best friend is no doubt a pea loving pup. Baylor and Addison will get along infamously as the battle for veggies gets more intense. As for now I take pictures of this unruly behavior and think that it is cute. My tune will change one day, I promise. Here are a few pics from the high chair/pea time we share.

Daddy Time

Daddy doesn't get to spend much time with her while he is working so we make the best of the time when they are both awake at the same time and here are a few dazzling half naked early morning shots of my tired babes.

Daddy made a funny.

Other groundbreaking moments

Well besides her figuring out how to crawl on the bed and couch and how to stand up in the crib by herself and banking on Baylor to finish off her veggies for her. She also recently learned how to try to feed herself. We have also started the sippy cup-not successfully mind you-nonetheless we have started. Lord be with me and all my laundry please. If anyone knows where the "pause" button is on these children please inform me. I feel like everytime I turn around another month has flown by and she is already doing so many new things. I have blinked and it has already been almost 7 months. Before I know it, she will be 1 year old and then I think at that point I will just have a nervous break down. Because not all of her years can go by this fast. It isn't fair! I need more time. How does this happen? p.s she has been teething like crazy, yet not a single tooth. This is worse than trying to watch a "watch pot boil" ???

Consistency
My daughter will forever and always be consistent with one thing and that is her bath time. This child is like a fish. You can bank on her everyday loving her bath time. She loves it so much and I am such a freak about not having a dirty child that she gets two baths a day. She plays and splashes and washes the floor and bites the all the squishy animals in the tub. Funny story was the other night she was playing in her little tub and we just throw all her toys in the tub with her tug boat and put the bubbles and water in and then put her in. Daniel or I, whichever is bathing usually rinses her off with her washcloth and then lays it in the tub for her to play with. Well she got a hold of it with a bunch of water in it and started to suck the water out of the wash cloth and got kinda choked up and Daniel and I were both in the room with her and it was the funniest thing because after she got choked a little she just started shaking her head like trying to "shake it off" and go at it again. She did it twice it was hilarious. We finally took the cloth away from her so she would quit torchering herself with it. My little fish I can't wait til the summer in the big pool, what will she think of it?? oh my.

She is beating her starfish up!

I just can't believe that in less than 1 week she is going to be 7 months. I just can't get over my little one already growing up so fast. She is wonderful and I would never trade a single moment with her even when I wouldn't mind pulling my hair out. She is perfect for my life and my world. Our newest thing is her sleeping in bed with me. I am having a little seperation anxiety about her going to her crib so she has been sleeping with me and I cherish falling asleep to her mumbles in her sleep and the smell of her lavendar and chamomile skin. She falls asleep with a sleep sheep and the nights I don't have her I still sleep with it on with her blanket next to me. She is what gets me through some days. To be so little she truly gives me so much strength. A blessing in disguise. I wish I could express how many times a day I think of her, it is to many that I loose count in the first hour. I LOVE HER SO!
