Beavers Bend 09

Addison got to go on her first official camping trip. We left on Sunday May 10th (Mother's Day) and headed to Broken Bow, OK. The whole family was in need of a little RandR. Sunday after we arrived we got settled into into our cabin and then went to help Benny and Kathy set up their trailer. It had started raining on the way down and had continued to rain the rest of the day into the Monday and Tuesday and well part of Wednesday. It FINALLY cleared up just a few hours before we had to leave and come back home on Wednesday. It was long enough for Daniel and I to take the paddle boat out on the river and do a little sight seeing. And that we did. We saw a snake laying in a tree sunning himself and we also got to see all the new development around the area and Daniel made me get out of the paddle boat and stand in the water while he took a picture and I froze what was left of my bootie off. We paddle across the river and saw a gorgeous water fall and was able to take some pretty decent shots of it. It was no Hana, HI but I will take whatever vacation I can get! Since it rained nearly the whole time we were there we weren't able to do much with the baby so she got a little cabin fever and we went to the nature center and the museum to check things out. We bought her a souvenir shirt and took a few pictures. I do have to say that even though it rained the whole time it was just nice to BE. Be with Addison, Be with Daniel, Be with Benny and Kathy, and Be away from work and the house. We had a great time, we are planning on going back soon, hopefully it will all work out so that we can. I am already looking forward to it.

p.s. Thanks Kathy and Benny for the invite--- we had a great time! We love you and appreciate all the things you do for us and the Baby! oxox C&D

On our way...pit stop for a bottle.

Quirky Things

I thought I might tell my daughter about a few of the things that I probably won't remember in a few weeks much less in a few decades when she is having children.

* You always rub your eyes when you are tired
* You have just learned to point at me and the things you want
* You hold out your hand because you want some one to kiss it ( your Poppy taught you that)

* You roll over and over and over like an alligator when you are tired.

* You are my personal Linus--you LOVE your blankie. You bury your head into when ever someone gives it to you. You drag it around with you if you can.

* You are still allergic to strawberries.

*You love to people watch especially little kids, you find them amusing.

* You can throw a hellacious temper tantrum.

*When you want to you give kisses and when you don't you ignore the person.

* Your favorite foods are squash, sweetpotatoes, Pear Blueberry Oat, and real green beans, and pasta off my plate. Oh----and of course ice cream.

* You still love your baths and look forward to them twice a day, it refreshes you and gives you a new start, or it settles you down for the night.

* You don't really have a favorite toy, you like your glow worm on when you go to bed, you still listen to your sleep sheep, and you love your baby.

** My most precious treasure is watching you when the wind blows. You have the most inocent look on your face and when you are in the car seat and the window is open you try to catch the air.

* Giggles are few and far between, so when we get a giggle we hold onto it!

* You patty cake when you get excited about something.

*When in public you always get compliments on your eyes.

* My favorite thing about you is your smell, your cute faces you make, getting to rock you, and when you lay your head on my shoulder.

Addison.....Time goes by too quickly, I cherish every waking moment and breathe with you. You are the most important thing in my life and my greatest accomplishment. You are the light of my life and you put things in prospective in a matter of moments. You are the earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars to me. I know that before I know it you are going to be all grown up and I will be left with nothing but memories and pictures. I love you with all my heart and soul baby girl. oxox--mommy.

Updates of the 9th month

It is May and Addi is now 10 months. Wow--I have said it before and I will keep saying it...where does the time go. My heavens, i feel like I have blinked and missed half of it. We have had a bunch of new accomplishments this month. Our most exciting is the fact that we have our first tooth coming in. It is her upper left front tooth. The right side is looking pretty promising too. No bottom teeth as of yet. She has been a wonderful kid this month, a few temper tantrums here and there but nothing we can't handle. This next accomplishment is, cruising unassisted. She walks everywhere when hanging onto something. Addison is one determined kid, I can definetly tell you that much. She has yet to take her first steps but we are all shooting for this month. I looked back at past blogs and it was just in February that she started sleeping through the night, it seems like so long ago when I am reading about it, but in life I feel like it hasn't been very long. She is still sleeping through the night wonderfully 11 or 12 hours a night. At our doctors appointment for her she was 29 inches tall (2 1/2 feet people...holy cow!) and 19 lbs. She grows like a weed, she is already growing out of her 12 month jeans...they are too short and 18 month jeans are entirely too big, I am ready for summer so hopefully it will balance out. It is hard to believe that in 2 months she will be one year old. She is amazing. She hasn't said any official words yet, but she does say...baba and dada and mama. That is it. Last but not least we have started introducing table food. Nothing major but she loves ice cream, she likes to eat cherrios and green beans and she finds humor in pasta, she can also drink out of a cup, but is having problems with a sippy cup. (Go figure)

So serious??

my baby, she is mine, all mine.

One of my favorites of her

Leggings and a hello kitty t-shirt

Another of my favs-
She is working it out with the table by osmosis.

NOODLES!!
My too cute story--
Addison and I were in the bedroom while I was putting away some clothes and she was crawling around like usual. This was about 5 in the evening, anyways...I was talking to her as she was headed to the bathroom. The child has a thing for my kuki nuts from Hawaii, so I figured she was scoping them out. Well I didn't hear them banging around so I looked around the corner and saw she had headed for the shower. No big deal it was closed, or so i thought. I finshed putting some of my clothes away and then went to go look for her, in that time she had managed to get the door to the shower open and get inside and there she sat pounding on the drain. Too cute! So I ran and got my camera right fast so I could snap a moment, and in that time she had grabbed "her" shampoo bottle and was slamming it on the drain looking up at the shower head. I was amazed!! I have no idea if she really meant all that she had done but I, being a proud mommy, am going to go with..."Well, of course she did!!" It was a one in a million moment.

Easter 09- 9months

Yes, I realize this is almost 3 weeks late, what can I say....i have no excuses. Well I do, but I think that I am going to make next years resolution -- to keep up with my blogging better. Maybe I can just start early and make it a May resolution. Easter was fantastic. What it is to be a spoiled kid!! Saturday I got Addison all dressed up and we went and had her pictures taken at Bedford's with the "real" bunny. She had no problems, she was perfect. It helped tremendously that the lady was super nice and really knew how to connect with Addi. After we got our pictures taken we went over to her Granny's house to see them, and her Great Aunt Sissy and her children. Addi got tons of Easter basket goodies!! New outfits, baby suntan lotion-spray, wheelbarrow and chair, coloring books and crayons, new shoes, even her own special egg with money in it from her Aunt Kerri....all kinds of good stuff!! After presents we ate, then did the egg hunt. I had decorated all of Addi's eggs so she could see them we placed them on the ground and Aunt Sissy put eggs out for Addi too, she had the best time grabbing each egg and putting them in her basker. She did so good, I was one proud mommy. Post egg hunt we took a few pictures then headed home. Easter Sunday we went to church with mom and dad, it was POURING RAIN, so thank goodness we had done eggs before hand. After church mom and dad took us to eat and then back to there house to give Addison her Easter Ducky. Addi got an adorable oversized duck and a baby bible from her "Meme". Addison made out like a bandit yet again.
From me--Thank you, everyone for your gracious gifts. We appreciate all of them!! Here are some pictures from Easter 09! Enjoy
